v The Institute tries to maintain a perceivable balance between the different wings which have direct or indirect relations with the Academic affairs. The Faculty members in general and Senior Professors in particular are always consulted so that the Institute remains a strong center of learning. We provide boarding facility to our students which give us a grand opportunity to maintain regular and close contacts with our students. As most of the students are hostel boarders and stay within the campus they take keen interest in the process of developing the Academic affairs. The Administration regularly sits with the students once in every month to discuss about the matters which involve the development of the Institute. For all these reasons history has shown us that our students have secured high marks in the University Examinations. They have topped the University Examinations of 2003 and 2004.
v This Institute believes that education is the manifestation of the perfection already in man. This is an Institute which is governed by reputed academicians and well-known social workers. Democracy remains at the heart of this Institution. It is the backbone of the Administration. Here power is not the privilege of a few. Academic Committee, Finance Committee, Purchase Committee, Pay Scale Committee and such other specialized committees where seasoned and eminent personalities from different works of life are members whose advises are the life-line to the Authority. Administrators give due weight age to the valuable suggestions received from the different committees. The Administration tries to provide good governance keeping in consideration the human relations approach.
v This is an Institute formed mainly by teachers so it gives the process of students- teachers interaction the outmost priority. Senior Professors keep close watch so that the Academic exercises within the different Academic Departments and the co-ordination between the HODs and TICs of different disciplines remain at a high level of excellence. The Institute functions not as a profit making center of learning but with an objective of providing Engineering and Technical Education to the future Engineers and Technocrats at a price which is one of the cheapest amongst the Private Engineering Colleges. In order to provide economic services to the pupils the Authority never compromises with the quality of education given to the students. This Institute provides quality services to the students so that they can come up not only as good Engineers but also as worthy citizens of this divine and ancient land.
v Grievance generally occurs when a person is more concerned about his rights and attaches less importance to his duties. Rights and duties should go side by side. Therefore, Grievance Redressal mechanism of this Institute tries to build a harmonious balance between rights and duties of the Faculty, Staff and Students of Birbhum Institute of Engineering and Technology, Suri. Regular interaction takes place between the Authority and the Faculty, Staff and Students so that they can come up with their problems. The Administration frequently seats with the Faculty, Staff and Students in order to find out an amicable solution which can set an equation between the charter of demands and the feasible practical solution. Remedies are generally human in essence and this Institute does not believe in confrontation but always tries to find out a path where co-operation and conciliation is given the outmost priority so that diverse view points can co-exist without affecting the normal process of function in side the Institute.
The Degree Courses taught by the Birbhum Institute of Engineering and Technology are approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (A.I.C.T.E.) and are as per the curricula of West Bengal University of Technology.
